I kinda feel bad about last night.
We live in a Tri-plex apartment and the neighbors are super loud at times. like played music from 12 at night to 4 in the morning.(We didn't get hardly any sleep!!) then last night actually started banging on the wall. I got pissed because I was trying to put my daughter to sleep and go to bed myself. So I banged on the wall back at them. I heard laughter so I only grew more upset and tried venting to my fiancé about it. But he tried to make it out to be MY fault for supposedly sleeping too far up on the bed!! So now I was pissed at him and took my daughter and myself into the other room to sleep. I don't get it, he makes me feel terrible about getting upset at legit things and makes me feel like I'm the one overreacting. I still feel pretty bad...am I wrong??

no I'd be pissed too. unfortunately in apartments ur gonna hear other ppl but that late and music and stuff...I'd be mad. honestly I do that with the people that live below me. they will be screaming and carrying on. so I start stomping on the floor. lol

@jenny73, I just figured people would be more sensible and understanding to others. they know I'm pregnant and have a 2 year old. the other neighbor is as quiet as can be (other than his occasion snoring) lol but he's really nice and understanding and I'd rather hear snoring than someone actually banging on the wall. it just frustrated me

I'd make a noise complaint after so many they get asked to leave. My mom had to keep doing that to get a neighbor who did that growing up.

@shelbyjo, When I had told my fiancé I was going to do that. He says: That's only going to make them more annoying" Like why does he care about everyone else so much?!

To which I would have told him that's fine because I'll keep making the complaints until they are gone. Plus he's not the one who would have to deal with a fussy child that didn't sleep well, you are!

if they are up all night I'd make it so they can't sleep all day. Have your 2 year old make music on their wall. if they say something I'd be like I thought yous loved noise and if you wanna keep me and my kids from sleeping we will be sure to return the favor ;) We stayed at a hotel this summer and had the same problem, we complained several times but they thought it was funny and got louder each time management came, so my husband took care of it and in the morning when the people would go to bed after they kept us up all night, my husband banged on the walls, played music and banged on their door periodically because he refused to let them sleep.
