Sounds like 4 month sleep regression, Oakley's going through it too. It's a bitch lol

@emkasting, it's so weird because he slept through the night since 6 weeks 12 hours no matter what and now he is just fighting it for some reason and I don't know if it is cause of pain of the sleep regression! Last night he didn't want to eat, he didn't want to play, he didn't want to be held so I came to the decision to not go to him when he started crying...as hard as it was he went back to sleep and stay asleep...I felt horrible though :(

Girl same! Oakley seriously slept through the night as soon as I brought him home. So when this started happening I was like WTF. you can look back at my posts it started happening about 3 weeks ago. I ended up taking him to the doctor because I was like what the hell man he won't sleep! And he told me it was completely normal. Just means it's time to start sleep training!

I've been doing the Ferber method and it worked in 5 days. He has woken up maybe once or twice a couple of days but I can lay him down while he's still awake and he can calm himself now. It's a miracle haha

Some people refer to it as the cry it out method but that's not it at all. It's a lot gentler than that. Basically you lay your baby down when he's drowsy but still awake then leave the room. After 3 mins assuming baby is still fussing or even screaming (Oakley did that at first. Full on scream) you go in every 3 minutes but do not pick them up, just rub their back/belly and tell them it's ok. Stay in the room for no more than a minute then leave again even if baby is still fussing. Then keep doing this daily, gradually increasing how long you stay away from their room. So second night you can go from 3 mins to 5 mins between check ins until baby is asleep. By the third night I put Oakley in his crib and didn't hear one peep. The method doesn't work for everyone since I know some mothers don't let their babies cry for any amount of time for any reason. But this is the method my doc recommended for him since I've tried everything else. The idea is to get them to learn to comfort themselves to sleep so if or when they do wake during the night, you don't have to wake up too.

@emkasting, oh that's somewhat what I have been doing! lol not exactly that but I put him down when he is drowsy...so now all I have to do is check on him and calm him! Thanks! I appreciate it! Excited to try it!
