doctor just prescribed zoloft and xanax for this ppd, I'm scared to take the medicine. I don't want to become addicted. any one else have experience with this
That's how I am too, I know exactly how you feel. Like even if I'm just trying to sleep my mind just races and usually I end up having a panic attack. That's the sort of stuff Xanax really helps with. If you only take half a pill to start you should be ok and then you can adjust from there. If at all possible maybe see if someone can watch your littles the first time you take it so you know how it'll effect you. Don't drive the first time. But overall it really does help
I definitely don't wanna be knocked out i have kids to take care of . but I was telling her how normal task overwhelmed me. even trying to cook dinner or give kids a bath I get anxiety, sweats, and headaches. short of breath...I have to just sit down and not do anything @emkasting
I've taken klonopin and Xanax. If you take it as prescribed and only for a few weeks you'll be okay. Don't exceed your dosage though, you will knock out and you will not remember anything. It's a pretty powerful sedative. I recommend breaking your dose in half for the first few times. I would only take it as needed, like if I felt a panic attack coming on. As for Zoloft I was on that too and it gave me really bad side effects but that's how all SSRI meds are for me so don't let that scare you. It can be really helpful
I understand a fear of addiction. Zoloft is non addicting. I took it for my severe anxiety in the past. Xanax can be addicting if you start to misuse. Definitely save that for when you really need them.
