What kind of cow's milk did/will y'all start out with a 12 month old?

Isn't whole milk the same thing as vitamin D milk @mommy763?

you can have 2 percent or fat free milk with vitamins d, whole milk has the most amount of fat and it isn't watered down , some whole milks don't even have vitamin d so you need to make sure it says it does @keepingupwithhj the extra fat is good for toddler development

most all stores milk that says vitamin d is whole milk.

Wic has now changed it and says babies should be on 2%, that they do not need the added fat as previously thought. I guess too much child obesity. I know my brother and sister were on whole milk but that was 15 years ago.

my wic still starts a 1 year off on whole milk then gradually go to 2% now my 2 and 3year old are put on 1%

My one year old is on 2% lactose free milk.

oh yeah I think so. they all have different color of lids. and vitamin d and whole milk both have red lol

@keepingupwithhj, weird, I guess every state is different. I even looked it up online for where I live and it actually says 1% or skim and I remember them saying that to me when I was pregnant.

Yeah weird. It should be a government run program not state then it'd all be standard across the boards for everywhere. Kind of like how each state gives a different brand of formula. I'm in Illinois, they do Enfamil but some do Similac and Gerber. @keepingupwithhj @caseysmommy92
