I've never had one . Neither the flu , the doctor says it's because I eat lots of oranges and that's the vitamin that kills the flu 😷 . I guess he's right I love oranges

Your OB will highly recommend it. The flu can be life threatening to mothers and their unborn babies because your immune system is compromised during pregnancy.

the only time I find it useful is if your baby is gonna be born in flu season. I'm getting mine today and one for my daughter. she gets one every year and has never had the flu and she has lung disease so I think the shots work great

Mine hasn't said anything to me about it, just the tdap shot. And my baby will be born in february

I've never had the flu (even when my hubby or friends have had it) and I've never had a flu shot and never planned on getting one. My midwife just brought it up last week. I'm still deciding if I'm going to get it when I get my Tdap. I'm honestly not sure. My best friend had her 1st baby in October and got the flu that year and they were both fine. She continued breastfeeding the whole time she was sick. She didn't get the vaccine with her 2nd either. Honestly, the vaccine won't 100% guarantee that you won't get the flu because there are so many different strains. So my struggle is that my body has always done a good job fighting it off so I'm not sure the unknown risks of exposing my baby to another vaccine is worth it... I understand that your immune system isn't as effective while pregnant but it's not absent. I haven't been sick my entire pregnancy and my husband was sick for a whole 2 weeks with some virus that was going around. That tells me my immune system must still be pretty effective, but I'm still having trouble deciding what to do... :/

I got my flu shot and going to get the tdap next week, this will be the first time I'm getting it but only because I've heard it's beneficial for the baby. And will help build her immune system a little bit towards the flu and stuff. Dr recommended it to me and anyone who will be around the baby for long periods of time.
