I strictly breastfeed, occasionally Breast milk in a bottle if we have to go somewhere. My almost 2 week old babygirl has been having some belly trouble. She tries to poop, and it's obviously discomfort for her. And it just looks like a wet fart basically in her diaper. She passes gas on her own fine. But I'm thinking the narcotics I'm on, that are constipating me may be affecting her.
Is there anything I can do to help her go? We have also started gripe water bc she gets ungodly hiccups. It has helped that. So now we're trying to help her bowels. She has an appointment Wednesday with her pediatrician I'm obviously gonna ask the same question.
Also have tried the thermometer trick, it worked once and now nothing. All she does is grunt until she's red in the face and then cries or whines. :(
my mom does exercises on babys legs to push gas or help push poop out by pushing them up against the tummy. try drinking tea or taking laxatives and that could pass through breastmilk to baby
