how does anyone deal with the pain of breastfeeding 😩 I'm HUGE but nothing comes out! not going to last this time around either, I can't take it.
The first three weeks are the roughest. Nipples are cracked and can bleed and it'll seem like it never goes away, but it does. I'm EBF for 9 months now and I'm extremely happy that I didn't let my crazy hormones, pain and anger get the best of me.
Your baby is only a couple of days old mama, your milk probably didn't come in yet. You have to put her on as much as possible. Pump suction and baby latching on, isn't the same thing. You may pump less than baby gets when she nurses. If you want to nurse, you shouldn't be pumping for the first 4-6 weeks
I'd try nursing more to boost your supply, once your milk fully comes in then pumping will go a lot better. Sometimes the contact is all your body needs to get your milk flowing. I went through the same thing with my son, I nursed for days and swore nothing was coming out, then one night my milk came full blast and as I nursed on one side the other side poured on my lap like someone spilled a gallon of milk on me. Don't feel bad if you wanna stop, your baby will be fine either way :) I stopped last time because it got too painful ( he nursed so much my nipples kept cracking despite constantly using lansinoh on them ).I got some plastic shields for this time around so I'm praying they'll help if there's any issues.
Pumping doesn't work for me. Try letting her nurse. Also research flange size
@angelao777, yes that's all I do, I don't really put her to it and I still get nothing. Not more than an oz from each.
I said the same thing and I held on a bit longer and I am doing wonderful!! It hurts in the beginning you get discouraged but @cubanese helped me it's tough but it gets easier hang in there mama!!!
