So me and my husband where talking earlier and he admitted to me he is the jealous type when it comes to me. So we were talking more and he then said he would be upset if I hugged another man. I asked what if its a friend or someone I haven't seen in a long time. He said no he would be so upset and he would make me sleep on the couch. Then he said he would never hug another female unless it was family. So question is do you ladies think hugs are appropriate or not?

Me & my men are such jelly type so I don't do it due to respect for him & he won't do it to me only family lol .

I hug everyone! And I don't care if my husband hugs anyone. We aren't the jealous type at alllllll.

Depends how long the hug is. Long hugs, I believe, indicate a closeness that would make anyone uncomfortable if they didn't know the person you were hugging. A short hug wouldn't be inappropriate and maybe introducing your significant other as well.

I've never hugged another man in front of him but I have hugged a guy while we were married. Never even thought he was a jealous type. I was so shocked when he told me thought he was joking lol. @jujumommie

Thats exactly what I told him. A quick hug I believe is appropriate. Nope he said no hugs for anyone but him and family lmao. I thinks he's being paranoid a quick hug isn't bad. @cmart1710

Yeah its really not something to think twice about. I'm a jealous person too but wouldn't mind if my fiancé quickly hugged a girl and then we move on with our night.

if it's a hi or bye hug it's fine. now if it lingers then there could be an issue depending on how long it's been since you've seen them.

He's not even ok with a hi or bye hug. I asked and he stated that he will get jealous and make me sleep on the couch. if I hug anyone for three seconds or 60 seconds. Only family hugs are allowed and no one else lol. @ssdj4

I'm the jealous type and idk I don't like when my man will hug a girl if he knows her or if it's his friends girl and everyone is doing the whole "hey what's up" thing, like I hug his friends sometimes to say hey or bye. (and vise versa) but it doesn't linger & it's just a hug. as long as it doesn't last very long and his hand isn't super low on her back like it shouldn't be, I don't mind 😂 but boy I am a jealous type. I get SO mad even if he looks in the direction of a girl. part of it is insecurities. maybe your husband is also a little insecure and that's why he acts like that.

No he's not insecure. He doesn't care if I check guys out or point out that a guy looks nice just like I don't care if he looks at other girls either. He just doesn't want me to hug anyone at all besides family. @savvylynn1
