I want to hear some birth stories from all of the mommas who had a c-section! I have lots of questions too lol. What was it like? How long did the actual process take? How long were you in the hospital after? How long did it take you to completely recover? Is your scar fading with time? What type of pain management do they give you? Any IVs?

I had a c-section last year with my son, and will be expecting one with my twins a few weeks from now 😖 the first one was an emergency c section so I wasn't ready for it. I was so scared!! They found that my son's heart rate was dropping so they had to wheel me into an operating room, and they gave me some extra medication along with the epidural that they already gave me to numb my body. I didn't feel pain durning the whole procedure, but I did feel pressure from all the pulling and tugging. After the c-section is when I started to feel pain. Attempting to cough and move around was extremely painful for me for a while. I was on bed rest in the hospital for a while (I was there for about 3 to 4 days) and it was hard to get up and start walking again, but I would recommend that you start trying to walk again as soon as possible to get out the hospital sooner. When I was discharged I still didn't do too much moving around until like a week later when I began to feel like my normal self again.

I had a c-section 6 years ago. I was scheduled to be at the hospital at 10 that morning and he was here at 12. I stayed in the hospital for 3 days. My best advice is to get up and walk as soon as you can in the hospital. Waking helps get the gas out of your body, and it promotes healing. I felt great afterwards, came home and vacuumed my house the day I was released from hospital. You are sore when you cough, sneeze, or get out of bed, but I don't think it was unbearable. My scar has faded, but the skin around it is still numb 6 years later.
