It's really not that bad. Just a small pinch. With the pain of contractions you'll want any kind of relief trust me.

I didn't even feel it when they put the epidural in me 🙊

@theinkedmommy, I'm hoping I have a labor like my sister and mom lol they were both too quick they didn't have time for epidurals, but if I have a long one I will definitely get one because I can't even imagine how bad it's all gonna hurt lol I'm slightly more okay with the epidural needle than the IV one because I can't see it but the thought of it being there in my back wigs me the fuck out lol

@dcsmommy257, @orionsmomma oh yes I'm definitely not against epidurals, it's not the pain of getting one that bothers me because Im sure it's literally nothing compared to labor lol but just the needle

I got an epidural. But after being in pain for 24+ hrs I didn't even care about the pain of the epi.

The more nervous u get the more u feel it that's what my nurse told me when I had my son. Just ask the Dr to tell u when he's going in and exhale for a few seconds it'll help relieve the nerves. I'm terrified of needles and cry when they have to draw blood but if u have a good anesthesiologist it'll be over In no time.

I got a spinal tap and it was great. Only because I had a csection though lol. I'm sure the epidural feels the same. The nurses told me you will have some back issues after both though. But they aren't too bad... So far my only issue is that my back feels prickly and itchy :/
