Gross question. I had a csection. Is it normal to have black poop afterwards? Also something really mucusy came out. If I was still pregnant I would think it was my mucus plug. Not too worried though just would like some reassurance.

Did you take stool softeners? If so that could be a reason for it. I was prescribed doc q lace after my c section and that happened to me

That I have no idea but after having a baby your body secretes all sorts of weird things lol

More than likely it's the still softeners, but watch it. It could have a little blood in it. As long as its not bright red and you're not clotting, you're fine. it's just your lining and everything else coming out.

Stool softener can make your poop black. It should say it on the box. The mucus is probably just leftovers.
