they put mine in my all. right were I bend(or close to it) I hated it there. would have much rather had it in my hand.

they usually put it in ur hand because it is easier for u to b able to care for ur baby

fluids and pitocin if needed and they will give u pain meds if u opt out of the epidural that way. @nightdaughter

they have a different pain medication they can give u through Iv that is safe

Make sure you keep it as a option so they know to ask you. I wanted to try no epidural too but after 17 hrs of labor I was ready for it! It was a god send lol contractions are no joke and I lasted a long time with out but I think the whole hospital heard me screaming lol
