I got my birth control at my 6wk check up. My ob told me to start it right away

I had to see my OB a week after I was discharged from the hospital due to the circumstances I went thru. She gave me birth control then and told me to start it within a couple weeks that way it would be in my system by time I went and seen her on my 6 week PP check.
