scarlett had her 4 month jabs today and she's been grumpy all day and really teary. I asked my MIL to change her butt while I made myself a bit of food. while she was putting a clean baby grow on her she started screaming and crying. I go in and pick her off the changing mat and hug her better. now my MIL is annoyed with me because I got my own daughter when she was crying. if I was doing her butt and she cried like that my MIL would have done the same thing! at the end of the day she's me daughter not hers. am I being to harsh and was I in the wrong?

I guess it depends how you did it. Did you jump in front and grab her whilst she was doing the nappy. Maybe she was just annoyed by that rather than you wanting to comfort her. I would have gone in made a fuss while she changed her then taken her for a cuddle after.

@sara-lou, I said before I too her "awwh baby come here" then picked her up and settled her down then passed her back to my MIL.

@kellyboo, nothing wrong with picking your daughter up when shes cry you can do what you want shes your baby x

Nothing wrong with that at all. My MIL is an interfering old troll & loves babies crying so I don't let her cry at all!
