Had an appointment today Dr. said I'm thinning out well 😏 also she asked if I wanted an epidural😏 I told her heck yeah!!! lol I asked how many CM will I have to be to get one ...this lovely lady said as soon as I ask for one ! I was like yes GOD!! thank ya!! lol well u might as well give it to me as soon as I get there lol .

My friend got hers the moment she felt pain and it wore off when her baby was actually coming out no matter how much they up'd it. So don't get it to early! She felt his head shoulders and everything

@vicky810, about 5 cm is a good point. that way it's not too soon and wont stall labor or wear off too soon.

I agree you sound wait till about 5cm bc you don't want it to ware off at the most painful time

Usually the hospital give u a button to keep pressing to release more of the epidural into every 20 min. So I wouldn't worry about it wearing off. However I got mine too early (at 4 cm) and it stopped my labor after my water broke. So I resulted in a c section. Try to go as long as possible without one! If u can haha, I know the pain 😂
