When did u ladies start pumping. Baby Luke was 5 weeks yesterday and I haven't used pump yet everybody keeps telling me to do other people can feed him by bottle but I really don't want to. It seems more to wash and more stuff to do it's easy to me to just give him boob plus I love feeding my little guy he just so sweet on another note last day or so my boobs are getting harder faster so I don't know if I should start.

If you pump, you will tell your body to produce more. Causing more engorgment. I only pumped in the beginning because my son had to be hospitalized for jaundice. And although I stayed with him they needed to know how much he ate. I never pump now. I'm a stay at home mom and although people try to guilt me about not being able to feed my son I feel like he's my child so too bad. Lol.

Pumping is a huge hassle, but it's nice to know you have milk saved and your baby will take a bottle in case of an emergency. I started pumping when I went back to work at six weeks and it took a while for my son to get used to the bottle. We had to try a few different ones.
