Do any of you work from home with a toddler? How does that work? Do they not get in the way?...

so I work from home. my 2 year old son is autistic so working from home is way easier then trusting him with someone that doesn't understand his disorder. he has a therapist come at 7 and she puts him on the bus for his special school, and he doesn't get home until 12:30. so I do as much work as I can from 7 to 12:30 and then devote all my time to him afterwards. if he naps then Ill do some work then too. you gotta take whatever time they're down to do whatever you can

@anyae23, daycares are a rip off. And your kids always coming home sick or with a bruise.

@benz305, so I get paid well enough. my husband brings home the big bucks but I make about 14 a hour which is enough for pocket money and helping pay bills. and I agree daycare is a rip off. besides the obvious reasons Id really hate to send my son to daycare if I had to. thankfully the program he's in in free. I danced the biggest happy dance when I found it because I was on the verge of spending a fortune to out him in daycare

I've done both and I must say it's much less stressful to work from home! my little men are definitely needy but my two year old is starting to do "jobs" so that keeps him sort of busy

@rosiel49, @showersoverflowers what kind of jobs could I do online? I've always worked in the medical field till I got pregnant and I don't want to send my son somewhere. My husband also works but we're trying to save for a house so me working would help

I'm so over it and they are always on your back about things smh... @rosiel49 but seems like it's sounding to be not so bad, my daughter will be two in March and i will be having another that month too i want to work from home sooo badly but it's hard finding legitimate companies to work for that will pay well enough

You could try to go back for medical billing. There are plenty of online programs just make sure they are credited programs. I'm a photographer and an early childhood specialist so a lot of what I do is easy to do from home.
