im only 4 weeks and I was thinking that this morning. Why do midwives keep saying that to you? that doesnt sound right to me

I know that's a scary thought, I've had four babies and every time that thought crossed my mind. With my first three I was absolutely fine but with my fourth I was close to death after labour but the labour itself was fine but as you can tell I survived. Don't let these thoughts define your pregnancy and spoil it, the doctors and surgeons that saved my life was amazing and I'm sure you will be just fine.

@firsttimemummy86, they don't say anything about death or anything that's just me thinking it but they're always going on "incase of an emergency this may need to happen" or "because you're bigger the birth will be more complicated" and so on..I'm just sitting there thinking to myself "don't pass out from all this info" 😂😂x

You will be fine, just think about how many babies we see born on this site alone? A lot of women suffer complications of some sort but there's that many medical professionals around us when we give birth that these tragedies don't happen as much as they used to. I'm sure you will be fine.

Yeah sure I'll be fine @natzie86 think it's the fear of the unknown plus my midwives scaring me and losing two babies before its all just got me worked up haha..everything will probably be fine :) x

Your mw shouldn't be talking like that with you, have you told her how you feel?
