@mummy2be2016, hey hun. yr heart always beats a little faster in pregnancy. im a nurse and we would only be concerned if yr heart rate was over 160 bpm consistently along with chest pain. try taking some deep breaths to calm u. if yr really worried phone 111 to get some advice. u may have an infection as that can push yr heart rate higher. hope u feel better soon hunni x

I'm no nurse but it sounds like anxiety. Like @karenb1601 said higher heart rate is completely normal. I had really bad anxiety in pregnancy (before too but got worse) it was awful. I tried to lie down when I felt like that and have some peace and rest xx

@mummy2be2016, ever since I hit 24 weeks like a light switch I started to get palpitations and a racing heart. Having no idea what it was I went to the doctor. Firstly he said it could. Be dehydration and I was dehydrated. That sorted it continued, I said I'm feeling this every day and it's stopping me from sleeping. They tested me for blood clot and iron, I was anaemic. They'll do an ECG. If your pulse is slower at the surgery tell them if there's a pattern to your pulse rate heightening. Mine usually was at night and during the day spontaneously so they couldn't alway pick up my symptom. Anyway now they I'm 40 weeks I now know and I've been finally told it's the baby and our bodies working harder to pump blood and oxygen to bump. I tried everything I tried hypnosis relaxation techniques going for walks exercise and eating well. As for anxiety yes I had this but it was more than anxiety for me it was my body reacting to the pregnancy. Hormones too heart racing at night. If you have pains and heart is racing please ask the doctors to investigate it. I didn't get pain just racing heart. So now I'm at 40 weeks my baby makes a move my heart rate goes sky high. Don't be afraid as it's common. x

I've suffered with the same thing for 2 years... went to a&e one time when I was sick of the doctors not helping and they stuck me on a heart monitor. My heart would go from a normal beat right up to 180bpm. Along with having chest pain and not being able to breathe properly... they still sent me home and said unless im sweating, having severe chest/throat pain and bad headache and where I can't talk then not to worry because it's not an emergency... I.e. If I'm not having a stroke, don't bother.

My mum has heart disease she was from with too and we have a family history of heart problems but I still get dismissed. I've had one 24 heart monitor and that's it. So now when my heart goes funny I don't even bother saying anything because I know unless im going into fit or somthing major, nothing will be done.

I hope it's different for you, let us know what happens Xx
