Serious question here. My little guy was born at 37 weeks and is now a week old. Is it alright to start tummy time or should I wait until his expected due date to start (he will be 3 weeks old by then) He already is able to hold his head up for a few seconds at a time to adjust himself when hes sleeping or getting burped. Im not sure how tummy time should start with a premature baby. Please let me know if we can start tummy time, even if its just on our chests.

My son wasn't early but his pedi said to start as soon as we got home from the hospital. I'm not sure if it would really matter if he was born early or not, I could be wrong though.

Someone told me 2 months. I still haven't started with my 36 weeker and she'll be a month this week but I do give her tummy time on my chest and have since day 1.

we started a few days after we got home. my son was a week overdue though
