So my 20 month old sleeps in a bed now. no longer a crib. After I got off work him and I took a nap. he woke up before me and I heard him playing. so I said let me get 30 more min of sleep. Later I hear him rattling the door which has the child proof knob on it. I go to open his door. why did he lock himself in the room? and if course his room is the only door that can you can't use a butter knife to unlock it. I was freaking out. My husband was at work. I knocked on the neighbors door to help me. After he struggled about 15 min he got it.. Sincere was just screaming at this point. and I'm crying. smh what a day!,

I have one of those things in the picture. I got it for 2$ at Walmart :I'm not crafty enough to make one. they are awesome. my son also sleeps in a toddler bed, so this eases my mind a bit.

@firsttimemomma8495 my son knows how to open the door so that's useless for me @mommyof1boyy I ended up unscrewing the knob and turning it the opposite way so he can't lock himself out.

my son can open his door too. but we live in an apartment so I put a babu gate up.at the end of the hallway so he can't make it into the living room. only helps in case I don't hear him wake up.

mine can climb over it.. it just wont work..how our place is set up.. our bedroom then the bathroom right there...laaawd knows a hell will breakose if he goes into the bathroom lmao...drinking toilet water and stuff @mommyof1boyy
