My kids are 2 years apart...Two of the most emotional moments of parenthood for me was when my second-born child arrived & then that moment when it hit me that my first wouldn't be my special only baby ever again and that amazing moment when both of my babies met each other...when I was in the hospital waiting to get induced it really hit me..I felt heart broken and realized my baby boy wasn't going to have all the attention to himself I thought I betrayed him I felt terrible I just didn't want to say good bye that night I wanted to hold him and not let go...then the next day when my son came to the hospital to meet his baby sister he didn't acknowledge her at all just looked past her ..he wasn't that loving towards me niether ...when I went home he ignored me a lot ! For a couple of days ...that really hurt me I cried! I was sorry that moment I knew I should've waited until he was like 4 to have another baby ...now he loves his baby sis she's 4 months old,but it's different I can't always be with him as I use to since I nurse her..he's my baby boy though i will forever love him and my baby girl..I just wished I waited ,then again I know once she's older they'll be able to play! And he'll have someone to have fun with and not be alone anymore...it's hard! Did any of you mommies feel the same way?

this is what im scared of the most for when j have another baby. but i can speak from experience my sister is two years younger and we have an amazing relationship my brother is two years younger than her and they also have a great relationship 😊

@jazzyjazz, my baby boy was like that at the hospital, but all through my pregnancy he would rub my belly and I would tell him that his baby would be here soon, his second visit I gave the baby to my mom and took him, and pointed to the baby and asked him where his baby was he went to rub my tummy noticed the difference and mom brought the baby to him and asked if he wanted to kiss his baby and since then he just loves on her.

I have a 3 year old and a 2 month old. just like you, my baby boy had nothing to do with his little brother or me. he still a bit jealous and I try to spend as much time with him, but it's hard since I nurse the little guy. slowly he's getting past it. I still have my fair share of tears when I realize he's not the baby anymore. I know it'll be OK because once the little guy is up and running my big boy will be so willing to play.

@jacey3, yes same here it's hard since I nurse my baby girl too,and I shed some tears as well when I realize he's not having all the love and attention to himself anymore but true once their little siblings grow they'll both be running around and playing in no time 😊
