Question, has anyone here ever had an issue getting a marriage license? I've called and verified what information I needed, asked about the one "issue" I do have (my middle name is spelled different on my birth certificate than my social security card) and the woman told me she doesn't even really double check the information. My wedding coordinator has me freaking out that it's a common thing to have an issue getting a license. Anyone with the expirience?

No.. quick and easy process.. make sure you have a witness with you and you're golden. Took less than 10 minutes.. nothing to stress out about at all. Changing your last name after you're married.. now that's when the real fun begins 😂

@mommy.to.sterling, we don't even have to go in together! I just have to go in with his information and he doesn't even have to sign the application.

@anmlopez, I apparently don't need a witness or anything. I just go in and hand in the paper with our information which is what is giving me such anxiety. is it really that simple to get a license? I mean, could I just make up an imaginary boyfriend using the power ball numbers as his social and have a license to marry him?

That is super weird! But every state is different.. yours sounds even easier than mine lol. If you callled and that's what they said I mean I guess that's all you have to do.. very strange! @emily18234 that is funny though with power ball numbers lol

@anmlopez, hahaha I'd call and ask them, but my fiance has a SUPER generic name, so they'd probably flag me and accuse me of making up a fake boyfriend
