I have to move bc the pregnancy was unplanned. I live in a small studio and I didn't tell my landlord I had a cat when I moved in. She wants to come and see the apartment this week bc she asked for two months notice before I move out to get my security back. I'm freaking out about the cat. I don't have anywhere to put him and she lives upstairs. She can just knock on the door at anytime. This is why honesty is always the best. I needed a place quick at the time. Now my lie is catching up with me. I hope she gives me my security back.

I def thought of that one @newlywedmama21 It could work for the initial visit but if she wants to show the apartment he will still be here lol.

You should just say your parents are in Italy for a month and asked you to watch him and since you're so pregnant it was easier to bring him here than go back and forth 2 times a day to feed and clean the liter 😂

There are actually places like pet sitter shops that can hold the cat for a few weeks at a time. Try searching in your area!

@anmlopez, that's a good option. My father has cancer. I was thinking of saying I took the cat bc he can't be exposed to the litter. (Which is true of cancer patients). My fiancée thinks I shouldn't care bc I'm leaving anyway.

Oh my goodness I am so so sorry to hear! You can definitely say that and make it sound like it happened recently but if you talk to the landlord again I would be sure to mention it so it doesn't look sneaky.. I agree you shouldn't care but at the same time I'm sure your security deposit is a good chunk of money! Every penny counts. I hope all goes well with you and your family ❤️
