I smoke hookah occasionally with my daughter. I do it after she goes to bed so I know I won't be feeding her for almost 12 hours. I also drink and breastfeed. As long as you educate yourself and are at peace with yourself doing it, fuck what anyone else says. My fiance would be the first one to say something to me if he thought there was even a slight chance of my daughter being in danger, but guess what? She isnt. I educated myself and him. She is off the charts with her growth and development.

I use to smoke a pack and a half until I got pregnant. nicotine can stay in your system for days or even months depending on how much you smoke.
I quit cold turkey because I didn't want to risk it. now I'll be honest when my daughter was 7 or 8 months my close friend committed suicide and I smoked like 3 cigs at his funeral. I just went out and bought her formula because I knew the risk to her. I understand it's hard and if you ever want to talk I'm here. but the alcohol isn't the problem just the nicotine. @faye141

No problem. And I am the first person to say "never go by someone saying 'I do it and my child is fine'", however, I can comfortably say that I have done enough research to warrant saying I know what I am talking about.
