So since my daughter's doctor said she can eat table food with us. Today we tried to feed her eggs and a banana. Nope…

We got this at our baby shower. It's a fresh food feeder, I'm not sure if it even works since our baby is still too little for food but I'm sure it's to keep from choking them. 😊 it says it's two something at Wal-Mart.

Her doctor said a smashed up banana she would be ok with. To use the food feeder for strawberries and frozen things to help her with her teething. @crazytoast It was literally a very small piece and she still choked. She even choked on her water. Im ok to not give her table food for a little. @raquely

@babynessa, I can only imagine, my baby has choked on his bottle a few times and I almost had a freaking heart attack.

Its thw firt time she's had water. She's only 6 months. She drinks from a sippy cup bottles anymore. @raquely

did she choke or gag? babies gag reflex is WAYYYY more sensitive so gagging and even some coughing when eating is normal.

if she is gagging on food and even water then wait a couple more weeks before giving table food. keep doing baby food though of course. all babies progress at their own rate. my son didn't start on baby food until 8 months and table food until right before his birthday.

Do what works best for you hun there is no rush to feeding your baby table food, if you and your husband are uncomfortable and think it's best to not feed your baby table food for awhile then thats completely up to you what works for someone else won't always work for you so you just be a good mom and dad and do what works best for you don't let others discourage your parenting choices

she's probably gagging, she just has to get use to it. give it a few more trys
