When/what age did you start clipping your babies nails instead of filing?

I never filed. they taught us how to clip them in the nicu.

I've always been told to file them till they get harder. With my son I clipped his soon. My daughters are so long and filing isn't working. @ssdj4

When my little guy was in the nicu they told us to either file them or bite them off so that we wouldn't hurt his fingers with a nail clipper.

I bite my baby's nails... too scared to use clippers

@mrs.corradini7996, @ssdj4 I know it sounds weird but I feel better biting them because I can feel how far I'm going. Makes me more at ease about it lol.

Ive clips since he was newborn

I totally hear you there @preemiemommy and if he jerks while I'm doing it, it's easier to hold his hand still while your biting instead of clipping
