I'm actually hoping my doctor will induce me rather than going into labor on my own. I love an hour and 15 minutes away from the hospital she delivers at. I'm scared to death my water will break at home and my husband will deliver my baby on the side of the road. Lol.

It is. Her office is 5 minutes from my house, but she only delivers at a hospital in Columbus. (Over an hour away)

Not that it can't happen, however from active labor to birth is usually around 6 to 8 hours average. It's very ulikely that youd give birth within an hr of contractions starting or your water breaking. I wouldn't worry too much

Well I know it's unlikely. But still scares me. We have to take major highways which there's always construction/wrecks/detours, anybody that lives in Ohio can tell ya what a mess Columbus is. Lol

yes columbus is bad, but have you seem the documantary "the business of being born?" inducing scares me after that

@kspeakman2016, you HAVE to it talks about how deadly induction can be for a baby and most likely end up in csection

I'll probably be induced early anyways due to his size. But I think those things are just made to scare people. Everyone I know with kids but 1 has been induced and their babies were just fine and none ended in csection.
