How many ounces of caffeine is safe to drink a day?
My doctor said 1 or 2 cups of coffee, I only did one though, but I didn't drink it every day.
Like @geekymomma13 said, the recommendation is 200 mg limit per day. I only drink coffee so I just check the amount of caffeine in whatever brand of coffee I am having. Usually equals about 2-3 cups. You shouldn't drink energy drinks at all though.
It is also linked to behavior problems in children and decreased IQ if not taken in moderation
200 mg a day. I followed that til my second tri. Now I just drink what I want but I still think I'm barely above that restriction
@reyesmomma, actually, caffeine increases miscarriage risk. It's a stimulant.
the only thing I was told not to drink is energy drinks and that's because they add a whole bunch of like chemicals and crap like that
my doctor told me 12 to 16 Oz a day is fine so I can still have my coffee if I want!!
I never changed my caffeine intake.. when I was pregnant or now that I'm breastfeeding. It never changed anything or made my baby act weird. But every baby is different🤔 I drink 2-3 cups a day
I drank 1-2 cups a day during pregnancy and I can still drink 1-2 cups a day while BF. Done it with all 3 kids, they'll all perfectly fine, no behavior issues or jitters 😂
