we gave our babies pacifiers and had no problems breastfeeding

I'm pumping g right now else I would look but it was a gift so I didn't search for a specific one. Co sleeping is great if that's what your wishes are but if you rather no Co sleep you'll just have another habit to break. Does your baby breastfeed well?

I give my daughter a pacifier sometimes even though she doesn't really like it and it didn't cause nipple confusion for her.

yes she's doing well with feeding. i don't wish to co sleep past month 1 or 2 @deckroth2001 maybe i should just give it a try with a short binky .i think i have a few that dont have a long nipple @haleymclain1121

@mrsnewman10511, Try the mam pacifiers! If she doesn't take it then I wouldn't force it. I didn't introduce a pacifier until 2 weeks due to fearing about nipple confusion, but turns out she doesn't even like pacifiers. She will suck it for a couple of minutes and then spit it out. Or she won't take it in the first place.

I agree with @haleymclain1121 she may not even want one. I just don't want you to start one habit to fix another if that's not you wish.

My son used a pacifier on the ride home from the hospital but after that I waited three weeks bc he had some trouble latching without a nipple shield. Now he's four months old and will o my accept a pacifier if he's really hungry and then he just does angry sucking. It's actually pretty funny. But sometimes I wish he would take a pacifier more often. I've tried four different kinds and nothing.

Using your boob as a pacifier is good for your supply!
