will my 1year old daughter adjust well with a new baby in the house?

My father in law suggests getting a baby doll and letting them practice being gentle and feeding

thanks that a good idea Shea been putting her hands on my belly and I been teaching her baby soft.

my moms foster mom gave me the idea that whenever im doing something with just baby like breastfeeding since thats all the time, read a book to your other child so she wont feel left out:)
