I don't think so.... think it's just mainly for the hot compress coz it's quite easy to apply directly on the area rather than a huge heat pack

I have one too it's so painful sitting in a small hot bath helps as the heat shrinks it but I bought like three different creams to soothe it also non worked for me as well as a hot compress... sounds silly but hot tea bags worked wonders shrinked it heaps
