Who has a deep freezer and how much milk do u have stored how do u prep etc. I really wanna purchase…

I have a deep freezer. It generally hold about 400 or 500 ounces at a clip for donation, plus my son has a stash as well (I think he has about 900 ounces himself, but his is kept separate in the bottom of the freezer because he actually nurses for now.)

Prep wise, I just pump directly into the bag or glass jar. I use bags or mason jars for him and milk storage bags for donor milk. I like to avoid transfers life from bag to jar or bottle to bag. All I do is freeze it, no scalding or anything because I don't have lipase.

@txyogagirl, @tayek question for you ladies. It's ok to pump into a jar and freeze? I always pumped and sores in bags. Will the extra air not affect it when freezing? Jars seem so much easier. Thanks in advance! 😘

@purpledpink, I do, because I like that jars are glass. they seal airtight, so gets not extra air in them.

@purpledpink, yes I asked at the breastfeeding class it's actually better to store in glass jars then bags bc something about the bag breaks down the milk
