u can try giving him a gentle tummy massage in a clockwise direction. or lay him on his tummy across your lap. my boy likes pressure on his tummy. im not sure if it helps move the gas down or what.. he is 8 weeks now and has been gassy from the get go.. (nursing with heavy let down) good luck. i hope he feels better
I second the massage. Another way I like to do it is put the baby on his back and pull his knees close to his belly, I found this helps the gas to pass quickly. Good luck!
I'm assuming he is eating solids/cereal? Try a light steep of camomile tea with a bit of sugar. cooled a bit of course! My doctor told me sugar is a form of pain reliever for babies... that's why breastmilk is sweet!

I use oval drops instead of gripe water! It's similar I think but I always used it for both my kids

I try laying him on his tummy but he knows how to stand and crawl around so he doesn't let me move him around :(
