Really considering pumping and bottled feed because it's getting really tough on my nipples

If you pump every 2 hours I know it sounds crazy but it does increase your milk supply. Before you know it you will be filling up bottles like crazy.

It is hard in the beginning but if you stick with it, it really does become painless! What helped me with my sore nipples was I used a hand pump slowly just to get the milk flowing a bit and then had baby latch on and it really helped decrease the pain from the initial latch and first few sucks. Also putting a cold compress on my nipples and using nipple balm and/or coconut oil on them.

Nipple shield saved my breastfeeding journey. After 3 months he transitioned off and I have zero nipple issues . Worth a shot to try nipple shield also can pump in addition to if you are stocking up the freezer

The first six weeks of bf are crucial for your supply. The pump will get out milk but it's not the same as breastfeeding because your body adjusts to the babies needs and with the pump your body doesn't know what the baby needs. If you need to pump to relieve pressure then go for it but if you can try to wait it out I promise it'll get better and you'll be a pro in no time ! My nipples actually bled! It was painful but I stuck it out and were 7 months EBF she's never had a bottle or formula. You got this mama keep it up because your doing great for even trying. Im in no way shaming you if you chose to pump I just want to tell you that the pain won't last forever but fed is best and you will do what works for you 🙂 good luck

The first few weeks are hard but it doesn't last forever I promise as long as your baby is latching right it should get better
