Is it possible for babies of this age (8 1/2 months) to make themselves sick if they don't want a certain food? He scoffs "treat" food like the carrot stick crisps or the organix biscuits but as soon as I give him pasta or any form of lumpy healthy/decent food he throws up! But is more than willing to scoff a bit of saffron bun or others of the like
@sara-lou, thank you. I still give him the good foods and I make him good dinners all blended up and he eats that but anything of texture or lumps that is good for him he is sick all the time! So frustrating. I don't make a deal I just clean him up and offer it again if he doesn't eat it when I just give him a bottle. I know he's only young but I'm not strutting the habit of replacing good for rubbish just because he doesn't want it x
Babies can definitely be picky with their food & quite happily eat the nice sweet things & refuse or gag/sick up other things. Continue to offer all the foods as their still getting used to the different tastes & textures. Don't make a big fuss when they make a fuss about it as you don't want them developing bad habits. My sil says her son has psychological issues with textures/eating certain foods & I know that's a real thing but I find it a tad convenient he eats crisps, chocolate, sweets etc just fine but has issues with dinners.... lol
Children will develop likes & dislikes just like we do so I've never made my son sit & eat all his dinner. I like to give him options. What he'd eat one week he wouldn't another but then a month later, eat it again! lol So I've never stopped offering certain things.
