Hi I'm new here! I'm a single mom to 5 of the most wonderful children. 4 from a previous marriage and the newest little guy is 3.5months. Things are tough , we are going through a custody battle. My ex was not happy I got pregnant (we dated for a year before I found out and he truly was an amazing man) but when I found out he instantly changed. He wanted me to abort. I said no so he instantly started with emotional and verbal abuse. And of course it was all my fault and my attitude. He started being hot and cold with the other children (we were living with him) so finally I moved out in January 2016, I had my own home so the kids and I just went back to it. I tried to make it work with him but it wasn't. He told me everyday how the baby and I were ruining his life. I was being selfish by keeping the baby. I told him I didn't need him. I could do it alone. So then he started threatening me that he would take me for full custody and call child services and have my other children removed from my home. So I just tried to make it work. The baby was born in June. And things continues to get worse. Finally in August I said I had enough. A few days after I broke it off he was watching the baby in my home while I was at work. When I got home we got into an altercation and he head butted me while I was breast feeding the baby. I now have a pfa. I was stupid and didn't press charges. I have temp full custody with the pfa. He is suing me for 50/50 custody. Because of other things he has done my atty told me not to let him visit with the baby. He hasn't seen him since 9/5/16. But we are trying to start visits again. But our mediation is at the end of the month. It's so scared. This man is unstable. I don't want to keep the baby from him but I don't want 50/50. But Pa is a 50/50 state. Just wondering if anyone has experience with this craziness. I have full custody of all my other children. He is two others from his marriage. The oldest went to college this year and the youngest only bothers with him when she wants something. I'm sorry I just needed to vent. And ask for help. Some days I'm ok. Others like today, I just freak out.

If you and the baby are "ruining his life", why would he even want FULL CUSTODY?!? Some people are so ..dumb. I'm so so sorry you're going through this though.💔

Thanks. I've been keeping him away so far. His lawyer is dragging his feet, but he wrote a letter to my atty asking for visits. She said we would start with two days a week for 3 hours until the hearing. Sent the info to his atty and haven't heard back. My ex can't text me because of the pfa but his mom is steadily texting me wanting my ex to have visits. I told her my atty and I were willing to set something up but did not get a response.

My thoughts exactly about the full custody if this baby is ruining your life. But it's a control thing I guess. He the second I was like ok fine I will do it alone. I have a good job own two homes. I have family that can help he changed his tune. But since this whole thing started he's told numerous people including me he wishes the baby wasn't his. So I hope the judge takes those things into consideration if this goes to trial. The thing that scares me is everyone seems to be on his side. He told people I planned to get the pfa to keep him from the baby. I did not. I don't want it. It does nothing and just makes life harder. I just wanted something noted that he had done it with out going all the way and pressing charges. I didn't want him to go to jail. Now I wish I would have press charges though.
