In desperate need of a rice cereal/formula mix that will satisfy my 3 month olds hunger for longer than an hour and a half... I've been feeding her 5 ounces every hour and a half to two hours and she's been puking like crazy. It's gotten out of hand. Anyone have any ideas?
Try the enfamil AR it already has the rice cereal in it, it would also help her with the spit up since it thickens the milk
I had that problem with my son. I found that the store brands of rice cereal are thicker and mix better. The Gerber cereal sucks, it's gritty and never mixed well for me.
Then it might be the formula, you can try any that you want, has she always been on that formula? You'll have to look but some are for spitting up, and I heard there is an Enfamil type that has cereal already in it for this reason. Or you could just call her pediatrician cause she could also being going through a growth spurt that also causes cluster feeding.
@soontobemomof4, that's what I'm using. And I made 4 oz with half a tablespoon of rice cereal and she was still hungry. Then I made 4 oz with a full tablespoon and she was still hungry... I have no idea what to do
Sounds like she's over eating, I'd keep her formula the same, and add a teaspoon or 2 to her 5oz and see how that works, my son was doing that, it was cause he was over eating and it worked like a charm.
I got the nuk cups with soft top and mix formula, cereal, and baby food bananas in it for both of my kids. great for the car/ shop trips put them in a cooler and good to go
