I don't have many skills, but managing to somehow offend multiple people at once is definitely one of them. 😑😅
So it seems like every time we let someone watch Isabelle, everyone does something we ask them not to do and she ends up either with tummy trouble or refusing to be put down or something.
I didn't want to message everyone directly and seem confrontational, so I just made a status on Facebook (should've known better) stating that if we trust someone with her, to please do what we ask, otherwise we won't be able to let people watch her. And of course literally everyone, including people who don't ever even watch her, got offended and now I'm dealing with a shit storm.
Damned if I do, and Damned if I don't, I guess. People overfeed her by three or four ounces, give her oatmeal, juice, and water (which we were told by her pedi not to give her any three of these things bc her poor digestive system can't handle it yet), even table food, and she ends up so sick when we get her back. Or all she wants to do is be held because people won't put her down. I just want what's best for my daughter and I want to be respected as her mother and have people do what we ask. Is that so horrible? God.

No your requirements for your child isn't horrible, however to address people who obviously are close since trusted with baby online when we all know FB has a negative rap for people airing dirty laundry about family and friends. So it would have probably been better to do a group message to all those who watch her or send an individual copy paste message to all because to put on FB seems like you're trying to start drama, be a B, messy, rude, insensitive. Even if you meant well. I always assume people who say stuff about how they want ppl to treat their kids on FB I always assume it is because they are mad at someone about something they did to their child and I wait and see who hops on the post and gets mad and it almost never fails someone does, then I go on to assume the person put it on FB to start drama because why wouldn't they personally let the person know about something personal about how they are treating their kids. Lol so I can see why they are mad I would say now you should personally address those people and apologize for putting your feelings on FB without first coming to them because hate to break it to you but you were wrong in this instance. No way I would go to FB about something the people watching my child did unless they pissed me off after being personally addressed lol

@ginag918 i guess I just did it because whenever I address people personally they all get super defensive and offended, so I thought maybe a general post would have been better but it just brought the same reaction, except this time instead of getting defensive towards me, they just went to my boyfriend and attacked me behind my back 🙄🙄 no matter what I do I can't seem to get it right lol. It's just hard because I'm started to no longer trust people to watch her, someone gave her whipped cream for goodness sake and she's only 2 months old! my parents give her ounces of juice at a time even though I've told them not to, people kiss her on her face even if they have cold sores...and whenever I say something (obviously regardless of how I say it), people get mad and assume I'm trying to be bitchy when I really am just trying to look out for my daughter and I try to be as polite as possible.
