I completely understand and can appreciate differences in parenting. But what upsets me is that I invited my fiancé's oldest niece (10) to Gianni's first birthday party. We hardly see her because my fiancé's brother refuses to pick her up from her mom. we only see her for extended breaks because her mom works. She said she's coming but didn't say anything to her dad which is fine. Party is next week & I expect her mom will drop her off to her dad the day before or bring her to the party. Both work for me. I don't have any issues with her mom, I actually really like her & can appreciate her struggles (BIL lies about working, having a car, he just bought a house and multiple cars and a damn horse etc. just to get out of child support). ANYWAY, my BIL has the nerve to say "fuck that" and he won't be coming to my son's birthday party and trash talk, etc. I'm at a point I feel like saying whoever wants to celebrate my son and love him will be there. I don't care. My fiancé's whole family didn't come to my baby shower or my son's baptism party. I'm done playing games with them

Screw them if they don't make the effort don't even bother as long as your son has you that's all he needs tell your fiancé to grow a pair and they them something. I'm on the same page in my husband's family

@lovingmatheo, they refuse to RSVP, they lie... for my son's baptism party they all (9 people) sat at home because the great grandma was over and they had to check her blood sugar! 9 people!

She wasn't sick. I could understand if she was sick but she wasn't. Then they told my fiancé's nieces they didn't come because I didn't prepare for them and they'd have to stand at the restaurant? I wasted hundreds of dollars on food because I was told they would come

That's extremely rude at least one person could of showed up. Do you get along with them?

@lovingmatheo, I'm a very nice and polite person. I never confront or talk back to them. But my fiancé's brother is very horrible and mean. He called me ugly and stupid to my face multiple times.
