My doctor told me to get my flu shot. But I'm debating if I'm going to or not. I don't really think the flu shot is necessary. It only protects against certain strains of the flu and so you can still get the full blown flu if you come into contact with a strain you weren't vaccinated against. To me, I'd rather let my immune system keep up the good work by fighting off minor things like the flu on its own. I will be getting my TDAP shot though. And my baby boy will be getting all of his vaccinations.

they definitely recommend its the only way that your baby can get the immunities from you to protect against those strains of flu because the baby won't be able to get the shot itself

I wasn't offered it but if I had been I would have told them no thanks. Each year they try to guess which strains of the flu will happen and so you can still get it if they guess wrong or it mutates. It's honestly one of those things that is up to you if you want to get it or not.
