Hmmm.. I would be worried all of the time. A good friend of mine worked as one on a state prison and he had to take time off because one of the leaders of a gang put a hit out on him. It was insane. Is it for Luzerne county?

it's down in Lexington, Kentucky. we are looking to move back down there because that's where I'm originally from. I know he knows I'm depressed up here away from my family, but I don't want him to be at risk of being in danger just to make me happy. 😣😣 @sarisings

Ah okay! I would research the prison if you haven't already. Some prisons are fine depending on the level of security. I hope you're able to move back home soon 😊

me too!! we were supposed to move back before our daughter was born but that didn't happen. I know he's stressed at his current job and it's so hard to job search in Kentucky when we live up here in PA 😕 @sarisings

I know a few people here in NJ that do it and love it. One went on to become a police officer. Benefits are good and lots of opportunity for over time.

@sarisings no it has his pennsylvania address. he wants to be as honest as possible with employers. he's had a few work with him already and he even did an interview via skype. we use indeed religiously for putting in job apps though.

that's good!! @babyg407 I think what makes me nervous too is the case I heard about recently where a correctional officer was transporting an inmate by himself.. [should have been two people doing it] and it's been said that they fell down the elevator shaft and were killed after a physical fight occurred. but the jail is being very hush hush about it. stories like that scare me..
