To the mamas who breastfeed in public, do you always cover or do you just not care? Would it be…

Just had my son yesterday and am breastfeeding.

I don't plan on covering in public.

Breastfeeding is a natural act and women shouldn't feel ashamed of it.

My personal opinion is that I shouldn't have to cover my son under a stuffy blanket because society has sexualized my breasts.

So, no, you wouldn't be wrong if you didn't cover and you wouldn't be wrong if you did.

It's all about what is most comfortable and what works best for you and baby. ♡♡♡

@mommyofboys1216, thanks i bf my daughter and i was always subconscious about ppl saying something to me about doing it in public so I've always tried to cover and would be nervous if it moved. But I think this time I'm just not going to care

I never breastfed, but if I did, I would cover simply because I myself, would not be comfortable to do so uncovered. BUT I do NOT expect other women to do so. I've seen plenty of women breastfeed publicly. It doesn't bother me at all. I usually smile at them and keep it moving. Not a creepy smile lol. But a mom smile. Breastfeeding is extremely natural. If anyone has a problem with it, they can A) Look away and mind their own business. B) Look away and mind their own business. Annnnnd C) Look away and mind their own business. You're not wrong at all for choosing not to cover. Your baby needs to eat. I'd love for everyone who complains to go sit under a blanket for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

No you don't have to cover. I will but that's just my personal preference.

@breloya, exactly! I would cover but want to take it off bc my daughter is hot natured and gets hot extremely easy so when I cover she sweats a lot so i take it off but nervously. Now I'll try not to care so much... And yes they should try eat under a blanket and see how they like it 😂

Could you imagine? 😂😂 It really is annoying that it bothers people so much that a mother is feeding her child. You have the choice of not staring at her, but they do so anyways. 🙄

i don't normally feed her in public because u feed her before we leave the house but when she does get hungry I'm normally only at a few different places, for example, I cover when I feed her in the bathroom at church, & when we are at Walmart I go to the fitting room to feed, if at a restaurant I ask for a chair & go to the restroom to feed her, if it's a multi stall restroom I cover in case someone came in, if I'm in the doctors office in our own room I haven't covered because her doctor is a woman & I just dont feel like it's that big of a deal, but if it were a man I'd cover... I'm Pentecostal so I try to just be modest the best I can, you can do what u want though, no shame in breastfeeding😍😍

@cubanese, exactly... I don't think I'm going to cover with this one... It also becomes too much of a hassle especially if they are irritated and really fussy

I cover, just cause I feel weird with my boob out in public lol but if I did decide to just not cover I'd love someone to say something to me cause I'd tell them what's up
