Yess what they said. I have seen used ones for $50-100 on offerup or Facebook yard sale sites. Even if it's not that nice, it could be a temporary fix until you can get a new one.

You have consumers add the protection plan then wait the 90 days call and they will fix it usually no cost to you we have had the components go out twice in our water heater and it hasn't cost us a dime
