So, today I got a letter in the mail from my case worker. She basically said I will not receive medical coverage for my daughter or I if I do not file for child support. As far as I know, child support is not legally required in the state of South Dakota. It's recommended, but not required. So why am I being told to file or I'll lose medical coverage? Why am I basically being told I need to receive income from an abusive asshole and hand over certain rights to him? It's ridiculous. I don't have solid proof, though, of his tendencies, so how can I prove he's unfit to be in her life, even through CS, without that? Because apparently witnesses can be faked and will not hold or be considered as a viable source, even if those witnesses are family and friends of the accused who are willing to say he's unfit 😒 This is complete bullshit. I start my first day at work in less than 2 hours and now I've got this horse shit thrown into my face. Today can fuck off...I just want to snuggle my girl and forget the world for a bit....
