Didn't have that much of a problem being China when in school although the name is becoming more common now. Still not when I was in school.

my name is Mercedez. (mer-sa-deez) but still to this day they say it in a Spanish accent and I hate it. so now, I go by Mya (my middle name). now a lot of people have mercedes as a name and i rarely ever meet someone with the name Mya

I was planning to name my daughter Eden which is becoming pretty popular. But after my Aunt died. I decided to name her Miriam after her.. A lot of people didn't like it.. And said it sounds old. But I think it's cute.

I was named after my grandmother, Mary Lou, but my mom wanted a more unique variation of it. So it's Marilu. Other than Marilu Henner (author) I know of none. Lol my daughter is Mallory Layne and my son is Elijah Bryant. Somewhat common in my area but not as much when I named them that 12 & 15 years ago.

Yeah I'm Deborah ( duh - bor - uh ) which is my mom and grandmothers name 😑😑 & got tired of sharing a name and people calling me Debra my whole life so middle name it is . I'm Geovonna now lol . People call me GG . Lol but my grandma had the audacity to tell me to name my child Deborah as well lol I'm going for Caydence Giana ( is that common ? )
