honest opinions moms.. would you travel 8 hours away at 34 weeks by car??

as long as you have a normal, healthy pregnancy and get out every hour, I would

I wouldn't just for the sake of getting uncomfortable in the car. If you don't have all the aches and pains like me though there's no reason not to :)

the reason I asked was because my family want to throw me a baby shower but it's 8hrs away in my hometown in Mississippi! I was just asking you guys for your input on it since I can't ask my doctor til Wednesday! 😯

yes as long as you're comfortable and if you make stops often two walk, you don't want to get swollen feet or buy diabetic socks thats what i did once

I wouldn't but that's just me. I think they worry about altitude change. If you have to go to higher elevations it could cause preterm labor.

@natalie86, I drove 10 hours with my 70year old mil only from TX to FL at 30 weeks and I was fine and no I didn't get out and walk we made 3 stops and ate while driving I had a really healthy pregnancy so yes I would do it again however the last 10 days or so before his due date I had a ton of swelling n my feet so for me I wouldn't wait any longer past say 38 weeks go now and don't go alone

I probably would. bring your and baby's hospital bags just in case and save the number of the nearest hospital to your phone. bring insurance cards. is there someone else that can drive halfway? at least stop halfway and take a short walk/stretch legs.

I wouldn't. My dr doesn't want us traveling over 2 hours away after 32 weeks
