lol I can certainly tell my fiancé has never owned a dog in his life (he grew up with no pets in his family). Last year we got two, or I should say he got two. I think he thought, "oh dogs just need food and water and treats". Cause apparently he wasn't aware dogs need certain annual shots just like humans do. We've only had them for a year but thankfully I said something to him now about that before one of them gets sick or worse! I remember saying "dogs are expensive" and him thinking I was kidding lol. Have had a dog in my family since before I was born, haha I slightly know what I'm talking about ;)
