My son will only be 10 months old at Christmas time( almost 11 months) but I'm just wondering, did you ladies go all out on that first Christmas? I don't know exactly what all to get besides toys of course. Because he'll still be to little to get "big toys" helI don't know if he'll even be crawling or walking by then. Im thinking things like interactive books, maybe a ball pit, a swing to hang on the deck, etc.

My son was about 8 months and we went all out just cause it was his first Christmas. He couldn't even unwrap anything- it was totally unnecessary. I would wait till they can actually enjoy it and save your money

We aren't doing much this year because our son will only be maybe 3 months old (depends on when he decides to show up). I love presents that lead to traditions. When my sister was born (30 years ago) my mom started the Christmas jammies tradition. Every year on Christmas Eve we get to open one present (our new pajamas) and it was our favorite thing. My mom actually still does it for us and even now includes our families.

That's what I'm thinking @dcsmommy257 @rennysmommy and @ains4073 that's cute! I like the tradition idea. I'm gonna try to think of something unique to do like that.
