So the other night I talked to my mom about my labor and delivery heard her side of the story and I found out that me and my baby almost died. Certain parts I was not aware of, I stopped breathing at one point which is what caused everything to spiral downhill. My mom told me that I told her I couldn't breathe and the nurse said "that's because you stopped breathing". Since I stopped breathing it cut off my baby's oxygen plus his cord was wrapped around his neck along with the fact my contractions were so frequent and strong they gave me a shot to stop them and it didn't work. With each contraction it squeezed my sons cord even tighter which is why I needed an emergency c-section and luckily I was able to try pushing him out with a vacuum assist and it worked. Another thing I didn't know was my son came out blue. I was so calm during everything that happened that when he finally came out and I heard him cry I started crying and I never cried when my first was born, I guess cause of two totally different situations. So I'm gonna update my birth story on here but I wanted to let you guys know some things I didn't even know.
